Cotton is good for our customers,
but sustainable cotton is…Simply Better!!

“There is no beauty in the finest cloth if it makes Hunger & Unhappiness”

~ Mahatma Gandhi

Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This requires the reconciliation of environmental, social and economic demands – the three pillars of sustainability.

~UN, 1997

The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future. BCI aims to transform cotton production worldwide by developing Better Cotton as a sustainable mainstream commodity.

We are one of the Implementing Partner of BCI and currently we are having Projects in Gujarat state working with 7000 farmers and approx. 31,500 acres of total land area under BCI project, which produces around 90,000 bales of Better cotton. We provide various trainings to farmers which are based on Water Conservation, Improving Soil Health, Natural Habitat Conservation, Decent Work, Improving Fibre Quality and Crop Protection with integrated approach.

Organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic and persistent pesticides, synthetic fertilisers and genetically engineered seeds. Demand for organic cotton has been also increasing from the past many years. We connect with organic cotton farmer and consumers, thus being part of the organic cotton supply chain. We follow Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) and all our organic cotton is been certified by Control Union.
